Anthony David Gipe has worked for many years in complex civil litigation in the areas of Business and Corporate Law, Employment Law, Civil Litigation and Appeals, Construction Defect Litigation, Family and Domestic Law, Gay and Lesbian Law, Tort Litigation, product failures, insurance litigation, and Civil Rights in Oregon, Washington, and California, for both plaintiffs and defendants. Anthony has successfully handled multimillion-dollar claims in California, Oregon, and Washington courts; conducted numerous trials in state and federal courts; and mediated, arbitrated, and negotiated settlements for clients in a variety of cases.
Anthony developed his strategic and analytical skills long before he embarked on a legal career. He enjoyed a long and distinguished tenure in the United States Navy, where he served as a Russian language interpreter and intelligence analyst.
Anthony is a founding board member of the Washington State Bar Association Leadership Institute Advisory Board, and has been a board member and a faculty member for the Leadership Institute since its inception. Currently, Anthony serves on the Washington State Bar Association's Board of Governors as one of the At-Large Governors. Most of Anthony's time on the BOG is devoted to trying to increase minority participation in the profession and the Association.
Anthony has studied anthropology, linguistics, Russian language, art, art history, comparative history from multiple universities. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law. In 2002 and 2003 Washington Law & Politics readers voted Anthony a "Rising Star" in the legal profession.
When Anthony is not practicing law, he pursues his hobbies in fitness, fine arts, painting, and poetry.
