Mr. Thatcher’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation.
He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2003. While a law student, he worked at the Michigan Attorney General’s office assisting in charitable estate and utility regulation matters.
Mr. Thatcher has extensive civil litigation experience, including successfully writing and arguing dispositive motions and obtaining a “no cause” jury verdict at trial. Before coming to Washington State, he actively practiced law in Michigan for five years. Mr. Thatcher’s Michigan practice was primarily in the area of medical-malpractice defense. He was a senior associate for a preeminent Michigan civil defense firm handling catastrophic birth injury cases. Mr. Thatcher has represented healthcare organizations as well as leaders in the insurance industry.
Mr. Thatcher is a member of the King County Bar Association. His personal interests include reading science books, running, and playing guitar.
