Jimmy Meeks is an associate in Scheer, Holt, Woods & Scisciani LLP’s Seattle office. Jimmy focuses his practice on defending Washington and Oregon businesses and individuals in a variety of complex civil litigation, including claims of construction defect, premises liability, personal injury, and professional malpractice. He also has experience advising clients on insurance coverage and business matters. Prior to joining Scheer, Holt, Woods & Scisciani LLP, Jimmy worked at a firm which specializes in the defense of corporations and their officers in complex litigation and white-collar prosecutions.
Jimmy graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law, where he served as the president of the Federalist Society and earned distinction for pro bono legal service provided to nonprofits and individuals of limited means. During law school, Jimmy gained extensive legal experience with internships in a variety of contexts, including the torts division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, a firm representing property management and development companies in a variety of property disputes, an insurance defense firm, and a business law firm. Jimmy focused his undergraduate studies in the areas of theology and religious studies and remains committed to partnering with nonprofits to serve the needs of his local community.
Outside of the office, Jimmy enjoys discovering Seattle’s most interesting house cocktails, exploring the PNW in his Jeep, and rooting for Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball.
