Luisa Taddeo is an associate in the Seattle office of the Scheer Law Group. Ms. Taddeo focuses her practice on a variety of civil litigation, including insurance coverage, complex construction defects, personal injury, products liability, and wrongful death. Prior to joining Scheer Law Group, Ms. Taddeo was an associate at a Seattle-based boutique insurance coverage firm, where she represented insurers in coverage disputes related to first party property claims and third party liability claims. She also advised insurers on issues related to the duty to defend, the duty to indemnify and defended against bad faith lawsuits, including IFCA.
Although Ms. Taddeo is originally from Montreal, Canada, she received her Juris Doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. While there, Ms. Taddeo served as a Vice President of her class Student Bar Association and was an active member of her law school’s trial team, where she competed against top law schools across the nation.
Ms. Taddeo is also an active board member for the SLU Chamber of Commerce in the South Lake Union neighborhood. She is also a co-chair of the Chamber’s events and public affairs committees. In her free time, Ms. Taddeo enjoys cooking, watching sports, travel, and the outdoors.
